Stillwater Layoff Response
We have good news for Stillwater Miners,
The Montana Department of Labor and Industry was recently awarded $3.5 million to support recently laid off Stillwater Miners and their families.
With the grant funding, DLI can quickly assist you and your family by providing training and financial support to help as you transition to new career opportunities.
DLI is here to help with:
Financial Assistance: Our funding can support you with meeting some of the vital costs of daily living such as childcare, transportation, or costs associated with job-based relocation as you train and transition into new careers.
Career Transition Support: We can help you explore and train for careers in new fields through training programs like apprenticeships, short term trainings that provide industry-recognized credentials, and at colleges and universities. DLI can provide these services for spouses re-entering the workforce or needing to transition in their careers because of the mine layoffs. We can also provide resume assistance, and a range of job interview/preparedness tools.
Additional Support Resources: We can connect you to community resources for financial planning, mental health support, and other challenges that may arise as a result of being laid off.
