Montana Employers Recognized with 2021 Governor’s Achievement Awards

Awards recognize ongoing commitment to workplace safety across Montana

MONTANA- The Montana Department of Labor & Industry today recognized employers who go above and beyond in their efforts to make their workplaces safer with the 2021 Governor’s Safety Achievement Award; the 2021 Achievement Award for Outstanding Workers’ Compensation Professional; and the 2021 Governor’s Future Generation in Workers’ Compensation Award.

“I would personally like to congratulate each and every winner for making workplace safety a priority,” said Montana Department of Labor & Industry Commissioner Laurie Esau. “Montanans take pride in workplace safety and deserve to be recognized for their efforts to go above and beyond in cultivating a safe working environment.”

The awards were presented at the Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone at the Governor’s Conference Awards Luncheon.

To receive the Safety Achievement Award, nominees had to prove that they are not only compliant with the Montana Safety Culture Act, but that they go the extra mile in creating a safety culture in their workplace.

The recipients of the 2021 Governor’s Safety Achievement Award are:

  • Small Employer: Teton Steel
  • Public Entity: Mariel Beck, Golden Valley Weed Administrator for Musselshell County
  • Individual: Connie Hoffman, Intermountain Claims, Worker’s Compensation
