HELENA, Mont.-The Montana Department of Labor & Industry (MTDLI) announced today the Montana Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) has recognized the Montana Board of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists for their support during the 65th Montana Legislature. The board was also honored for its ongoing commitment, professionalism, and dedication to improving opportunities for hearing and speech impaired Montanans.

"The Montana Speech Language and Hearing Association looks forward to continued communication with the Montana Board of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists as we provide and promote education, networking and advocacy for professionals and the public with quality and compassion as we also ensure Montanans will access speech/language/audiology services from the highest trained professionals."
The board was also recognized for keeping its website up-to-date, timely updates to licensees, and prompt responses to inquiries from Montanans. In addition, the board members and staff were acknowledged for their communication and ability to perform their duties in a cost-effective manner.
"The board and department thank MSHA for this award," said Board Executive Officer Lucy Richards. "This award recognizes how this licensing board can work with a professional association such as MSHA to better protect the public while not losing sight of the licensees who serve the public."
The Montana Board of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists was established by the Montana Legislature to protect the public by regulating the practice of speech-language pathology and audiology.
